The image below is allegedly an official press render of the Pixel Stand. Looking at the photo we can clearly see that the wireless charging dock connects to a power source via a hidden USB-C port in the underneath the grip pad. You’ll also find a Google logo beneath the dock. The Pixel Stand also seems to feature quick wireless charging support.
From the appearance of the wireless charging Pixel Stand, it appears like the Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL will be charged by placing it at upright position over the stand. Once connected, the Pixel Stand will reportedly turn the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL into a smart display through a custom user interface. From there, user may be able to access a handful of shortcuts including for music apps, the Google Assistant and even notifications.
