The Xiaomi has been very spirited with the nomenclature to the Mi Mix range of smartphones right after the original iteration. The Beijing-headquartered Chinese electronics company then released the second-generation and when the public expected a Mix 3, the company instead launched the Mi Mix 2s. The same year, Xiaomi eventually announced the Mix 3 in October 2018.
This year, the eyes and ears of the crowd was focused on the Mi Mix 4 but the Xiaomi is very avant-garde technology company and it added a plot twist by launching the Mi Mix Alpha with a completely all new design philosophy.
To polished off the deconstruction, Edward Bishop, the company’s country’s brand promotion manager in China, was reported to have claimed that Xiaomi will not release a Mi Mix 4. Well, that was his post on the popular Chinese social networking service Weibo several days ago.
However, the Xiaomi higher up issued a new affirmation to shed light that he never confirmed nor denied that the company will not release a Mi Mix 4 this year. Bishop was smart enough to included that he isn’t also confirming that there is a Mi Mix 4 model this year.
This again comes up with a glimmer of expectations of a budget friendly Mi Mix series handset phone coming this year. The Mi Mix Alpha 5G is quite far from being an affordable as it is relatively costs a whopping $2,000 price tag. Earlier this week, Ice Universe claimed that there will be a Xiaomi Mix 4 in the works and is due this month. The notorious tipster said that the Mi Mix 4 will also feature Samsung’s 1/1.33-inch 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor with a bezel-less water-fall display.
As for Mi Mix 4 release date and price tag, there are no details yet so far. But we’ll keep you posted as soon as we hear new developments regarding the Mi Mix 4.
