Black Friday 2018 Deals, Ad: Walmart, GameStop, Dell, Apple, B&H, More Sales Preview

As the Black Friday 2018 approaches, retailers are busy prepping up on their best deals and doorbusters shoppers to buy at both in-store and online. While Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon are considered the Black Friday stars during the holiday sales season, they are usually not the one-stop-shop offering the deepest discounts during the holiday sale. Even though these stores have some of the best doorbusters and the hottest deals, their overall average price reduction during the Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2018 sales are unexpectedly lower than the other retailers.

The guys at BestBlackFriday.com analyzed the average discounts offered by major retailers during the stretch of Black Friday last year. Using that information, the deals-tracking and shopping comparison website put together a list of predictions for the same retail stores for Black Friday 2018. While the middle-of-the-road price markdown may marginally change from a year to the next for a certain chain, the deals-tracking and shopping comparison website have unearthed the figures and were surprisingly nearly identical each season for every retailer.

In the recent years, the major retailers, including Walmart, Target, Amazon, Sam’s Club and Best Buy, are not anticipated to offer the best discounts on Black Friday 2018. Moreover, membership-only warehouse clubs like Costco and Sam’s Club are also on the bottom end of the list with an average discount of 21.9 percent only. All retailers are not equal even they were offering price matching, even Walmart and it’s wholly-owned warehouse club, their prices on a particular item may differ from one another.

Meanwhile, consumer electronics retailers including Best Buy and Samsung are projected to maintain their average discounts and would not reach the 50 percent and above range. Discount department stores selling clothes and other home decors like Sears, JCPenney and Kohl’s have the highest discounts.

Walmart

The one-stop-shop for Black Friday 2018 deals, Walmart’s Black Friday ad scan should be officially released in the week of November 8, 2018, at 12 AM. As usual, the shoppers are expecting Walmart to open its nationwide location stores at 6PM local time on Thanksgiving Thursday, with online and in-app sales starting at 12:01 a.m. EST on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 23. Like other United States major retailers, Walmart is likely to include free gift cards one a number of its doorbusters. Like in the past years, those gift cards can be used until before Christmas.

Despite Walmart generating the most buzz over the Internet, some of the consumers don not consider the retailer their favorite Black Friday destination. But Walmart always has a great and best deals, but retail stores like Amazon, Best Buy, Kohl’s, and Target (to name few) have fairly been offering a better discounts over the past years.

Walmart is also known for offering early or pre-Black Friday deal. Back in 2016, Walmart started selling the $125 32-inch TCL 32S3750 Roku Smart TV. But there’s a catch, the TCL TV is only available on free Pick Up at your location store.

As for Walmart’s Black Friday average discount forecast, the store will fall in the 30-35 percent price cut, which is still quite acceptable for a national retailer. If the Black Friday 2018 is just an echo of the recent years, Walmart is unlikely to offer free shipping without minimum purchase required, which is a massive disappointment for the consumers who have forgotten a certain item on their shopping list during the holiday sales period.

As it does every year, Walmart will to wait as long as possible to ultimately release its Black Friday ad for 2018. Last year, Walmart published its Black Friday advertisement on November 9th at 12 am ET. For 2018, shoppers should expect the Walmart to launch its Black Friday ad at midnight on Thursday, November 8. Walmart has traditionally been waiting for Best Buy and Target have their ads available for the general public before posting its ad. This year, Walmart will certainly to follow the same game plan again. That said, allows Walmart to match or sabotage Target’s and Best Buy’s marked down prices by throwing additional gift cards, offer more advance models, or even cut the prices even further. Expect 30 to 40 pages Black Friday ad from Walmart crowded with top electronic products, including the iPhone XS, XS Max, XR, PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and Nintendo Switch, 4K UHDTVs, iPad, laptops and more.

In the last few years, Walmart has kicked off its in-store Black Friday sales on at 6PM on Thanksgiving Day. The in-store doorbusters will be available the entire night leading into Black Friday event proper, and pre-Black Friday online deals may in point of fact start as early as Monday on Black Friday week.

While its rivals are likely to waive the delivery charges on with no thresholds, Walmart is unlikely to join the party. Walmart is currently offering free two-day dispatch service on orders priced at $35 or more.

Amazon

While Walmart considers the number one brick-and-mortar shopping destination during the stretch of holiday sales season, Amazon is the arguably the top destination when it becomes to online deals throughout the Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Traditionally, Amazon isn’t releasing an ad catalog for its Black Friday deals, instead, the e-commerce giant is publishing a press release with a detailed information about its plans for the event as well as its top deals.

Amazon has been aggressive on its post-Thanksgiving sales last year, opening a Black Friday Deals online shop front that offered sales on TVs, toys, electronics and the usual Black Friday fare. And on Monday, the company debuted Amazon Storefronts, an online hub for products sold by small- and medium-sized businesses.

As for Black Friday 2018 sales, expect Amazon to focus on its own hardware products including Kindle, Fire tablets, Fire TV stick Echo smart speakers and other best deals. Amazon is also expected to offer custom video console and game bundle deals featuring the Nintendo Switch, Sony PS4, and Microsoft Xbox One X. It should be worth noting that you should consider signing up for a free Amazon Prime trial prior to the start of its online deals to take advantage of the two-day shipping and an early access to Lightning deals.

The Bullseye retailer normally offers some of the best and greatest deals on consumer electronics — including personal gadgets, home appliances, gaming consoles and among others — because of included gift cards on select items.

Target to open its brick-and-mortar stores across the country at 6:00 PM local time on Turkey Thursday, with Black Friday 2018 deals online kicking off even earlier than ever. Target, like in the past years, will likely be offering free shipping with no minimum purchase required extending throughout the entire holiday shopping season.

We BestBlackFrinay.com the Target Black Friday ad 2018 to officially be unveiled around a couple or day earlier than Walmart’s. As it does annually, Bullseye is also likely to begin its pre-Black Friday sales event the day the moment it publishes its ad scan, so you can actually score the best early deals as early as the first week of November. It is expected that Target will have an estimated average discount of 35-40 percent, which is still better than the other rivals. Target, just like in the previous years, will be selling a bunch of heavily discounted electronic goods.

Best Buy

The consumer electronics retailer remains the top destination of techies looking to score good deals on gadgets during the Black Friday sales period and this year is no difference. Best Buy steadily give the best discount prices on big LED TV sets. The store also has some of the most desired bundles when it comes to consoles video games titles and among other hot deals. For 2018 though, shoppers should expect free shipping on all orders with no minimum purchase.

The titles are expected to be priced at $20-$25 range for the popular PS4 and Xbox One games.

Apple

Just like in the past years, Apple Store is not the go to place when you’re in the market for a new iPhone or and iPad, MacBook and Apple Watch. In the previous year’s Apple is offering just a small amount of gift cards. Like in the prior years, most of the best Apple device deals will be seen through a third-party retailers. Best Buy, Sam’s Club, Walmart, B& H, and Target will all be offering steep discounts on Apple devices.

In the previous years, the largest consumer electronics retail chain Best Buy will be your destination for the best Mac deals this Black Friday 2018.
