Why Google bluffs fans and orchestrated made-up Pixel 3 XL leaks?

Google Inc. threw out invites for its massive product launch event, which many are believing to be the official announcement of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, scheduled for 9th of October in New York City.

The Pixel 3 and 3 XL is already a storied flagship smartphone even the device hasn’t been launched yet. A conspiracy theory has emerged online and the narrative goes something like this.

The heart of the matter is that the search engine firm orchestrated the Pixel 3 XL leaks just to keep the public away form the real deal. The Pixel 3 XL with a notch isn’t genuine and Google set up the entire cloak in the past few weeks.

After the grand unveiling, a number of Pixel 3 XL unboxing, hands-on and full review will be published all over the Internet. After that, we have had a set of alternative theories surface on a notch-less Pixel 3 XL that it’s all a tactic by the Mountain View-headquartered search giant.

The evidence comes from a YouTuber who claims that the California-based company approached him to ask for permission to use a Pixel 3 XL video. He wasn’t forced to sign an non-disclosure agreement before deliberating about the matter, and explained it all in his YouTube video. The Youtuber relinquish his original theory and claimed that the Google will indeed release a notched Pixel 3 XL.

Google has been in touch with other creators too, asking them for similar matter. Seemingly, Google wants to know the people’s reaction about the Pixel 3 XL notch design.

The Pixel 3 XL is widely expected to come with edge-to-edge bezel-less screen display with top notch housing two camera lens, sensors, earpiece and speakers. According to the rumors, the flagship’s price will play in the $850 – $950 range.

Its smaller sibling Pixel 3 will have a 5.4-inch without a notch and may be the most attractive model of two because of its design and the retail price tag in the $650-$750 range depending on the storage capacity.

By comparison the current 6-inch Pixel 2 XL has slim top and bottom bezels with a camera shooter at top and speakers at top and bottom, introductory price at $849.

If these leaks are completely bluff or fake, what does the actual Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL look like? The company could end up releasing an entirely different smartphone on October 9 event.
