In addition to the highly anticipated Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones, Google will reportedly release a set of new hardware including a Google Assistant-powered Home Hub smart display device.

While the attention of many people focuses on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Google is reportedly has more hardware products planned for its October 9 launch in two simultaneous event locations. Following the leaks and rumors of two new Chromebooks and Pixelbook, a new leak of Google’s Home Hub smart display is stealing the spotlight today.

The new leaked images suggests an electronic device similar to other Google Assistant devices with a screen display, which is completely similar to Amazon’s Echo Show.

The Google Home Hub comes with 7-inch touchscreen display with a dock that also serves as a smart speaker, and of course, there are also microphones so that the assistant can listen to your queries. The main screen display depict as a tablet computer shows you a relevant information such as weather, traffic, upcoming commute date and time, with a space to see more cards.

Additionally, the Made by Google smart display will also be able to show you live video feeds from connected security cameras through a voice command. Should you opt to link up with your Google Photos account, it will also show off your photos.

The Google Home Hub smart display will reportedly cost just $149, which is quite a little cheaper than the Google Assistant-powered devices from Lenovo and JBL. For comparison purposes, the 8-inch Lenovo Smart Display is currently the cheapest one for only $199 while its 10-inch JBL Link View with stereo speaker is available for $249.

Google’s Home Hub will not have a neither front- nor rear-facing camera sensors like the other Smart Displays on the market which is a bit strange given that the whole point of it was to strengthen its Duo video call service offering, which the search giant company seems to realize either isn’t worth the inexpensive parts or the potential privacy concerns.

If the report is to be believed the Google Home Hub smart display will cost $149, this will be a quite cool gadget at a reasonable price.

The Google Home Hub will be available i two color options — Chalk and Charcoal. It is widely expected to debut on October 9 which also happens the launch date of Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
