Google Pixel 3 & Pixel 3 XL: Specs, Features, Design
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been heavily-leaked especially the latter where it made all the way to Russia. The Russian blogger bought the a pre-production unit of the larger flagship in the grey market. He posted hands-on review on YouTube detailing the immersive experience as wells as showing off camera samples. While Google is highly anticipated to announce the third-generation Pixels, the larger one has been the leading star in most of the leaks and also the most controversial among the two.
The leaks so far suggests the Pixel 3 XL will get a notched display while the Pixel 3 won’t have that feature. The renders of the Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL side by side posted by well-known reliable tipster Evan Blass confirms that the latter have a prominently bulky notch. The notch houses the dual-lens cameras and front-facing speaker. The Pixel 3, meanwhile, sticks to a boring design with thin bezels on both sides and a fat forehead and chins .
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are believed to ship with a sheet of glass panel in the back, which strongly indicates for a wireless charging support. Pixel devices are known for their dual-tone back finishing. As with Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, the top half of the real panel is rumored to have a glossy finish, while the lower half will allegedly finished with a matte. Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are both expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
All the leaks are pointing at Google shipping both devices with just a single-lens camera at the rear while its competing rivals are equipping triple-lens to the back panel. Google’s single rear camera with the help of its imaging engine could produce photos that will be way better than those produced by competitors’ dual-lens camera setup.
