The search engine giant Google is struggling keeping the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL flagship smartphones under blankets as more and more detailed hands-on and leaks are emerging almost everyday ahead of the release date. This scenario is to some extent indistinguishable to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that massively leaked out completely before the official launch date.
The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL smartphones have leaked to a degree that a technology news outlet has managed to do got their hands on the latter and do a hands-on review about it. This latest hands-on of the Pixel 4 XL gives the public a brief look at the improved Google Assistant, new Face Unlock biometric security, and among other key features.
NextRift has managed to secure a pre-release commercial version of the Google Pixel 4 XL handset and published its hands-on impressions on their site. The Pixel 4 XL hand-on focuses on the newly updated Google Assistant giving us a clear picture of what the Mountain View-based tech company has to offer from the new smartphones. Additionally, it noted that “the next generation Google Assistant is noticeably quicker at processing our requests, which makes it a lot more seamless to use“ on the Google Pixel 4 XL.
The new Google Assistant on the Google Pixel 4 XL also looks to support “Continued Conversations.” The new capability is already available on Google Assistant-powered smart devices including the Google Home speakers. This one lets user have a continuous conversation with the artificial intelligence (AI) assistant without needing to say the “Ok Google” or “Hey Google” command again. Google has also dressed up the Assistant with an interface makeover.
It also took a chance to tackle about the Face Unlock biometric security on the Pixel 4 XL. The site said that the Pixel 4 XL’s face unlock process is quite similar to Apple’s Face ID and Huawei’s Mate series and that “a quick glance” is enough to unlock the next iteration Pixels.
Google Pixel 4 XL specifications
The Google Pixel 4 XL is equip with an Ambient EQ feature that is identical to Apple’s True Tone display and adjusts the white balance of the screen based on the current light condition. The new outlet also spotted a Smooth Display feature on their pre-release Google Pixel 4 XL unit. The Smooth Display feature will dynamically adjust the screen’s refresh rate between from 60Hz to 90Hz.
Google Pixel 4 XL Release Date and Price
Google is set to debut the new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL at a special launch event on October 15. As for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL release date and prices, Google has yet to confirm neither details. But we won’t have to wait so long to find out the official information about these flagships from Google.
