Google's official Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL press images surfaced online ahead of launch date

Google’s Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL leaks season has been devastating, at least for the Mountain View-based company and the hardware department (specifically the mobile team) who are responsible for the R&D of the phones.

It’s not like the search engine giant was able to keep any past Pixel or Nexus handset confidential, but the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were massively leaked in the past several weeks leading to the October 9th hardware refresh event, and we already seen a thorough hands-on reviews of the phones over the Internet. So it’s not a bombshell that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL official press images renders surfaced online again, complete with pre-installed wallpapers that are very much in course with the tech company’s recent teasers.

One of this generation’s notoriously reliable leaker Roland Quandt published a set of new images at the German publication WinFuture. The press renders show both Pixel 3 and Pixel XL in two color options and from four angles, and the photos manifests the same story.

The Pixel 3 XL will equip with the largest screen-to-body ratio among the two and features a notch display design that was first popularized by Apple’s iPhone X. The Pixel 3 XL features a 6.2-inch display at 2880×1440 resolution, while the smaller Pixel 3 will have a 5.5-inch screen.

Both third-generation Pixels will retain the prominently fat bottom chin, which accommodates a front-facing stereo speaker. Additionally, both handsets also have top front-facing speakers also, which clarifies why the Pixel 3 XL’s notched design is so substantial, compared to other notch-equipped smartphones in the market.

Both the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will be ship with dual-lens sensors selfie shooter and single-lens main camera.

The phones are also expected to feature an equivalent internal specs which include Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC with clock speed of 2.8 gigahertz, 4GB worth of RAM, and 64GB and 128GB storage configurations.

Looking at the photos above, the press renders sets the “3” wallpaper the tech titan published on a Pixel 3 teaser webpage nearly a week ago. Moreover, the date on the home screen is October 9th, which is when Google will launch Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL in Paris and New York City to unveil the new Pixels.
