The Honor Magic 2 is scheduled to be launched by the end of October. Huawei’s subsidiary brand already revealed that the Magic 2 will hit the market sporting a manual slider design and a higher screen-to-body ratio.
The front-end panel of the Honor Magic 2 has already been teased, but the setup on the back still remains under wrap. A leaked press render of the Honor Magic 2 has surfaced on Weibo revealing a glass panel and quad-cameras.
Looking on the image below, the purported render of the Honor Magic 2 does appear charming, but should be taken with a pinch of salt with the fact that it could be faked. The alleged render shows the handset in two colorways. The Honor Magic 2 placed at the top seems to exhibit a gradient of blue to purple, while the other one is black.
The back design and color gradient of the Honor Magic 2 reminds us of the Huawei P20 series. The The Huawei P20 Pro that was released earlier this year features a vertically-aligned triple camera system on the rear panel. The third camera sensor is separately placed from twin camera sensors. In the same implementation, the Honor Magic 2 render shows that the triple-lens camera setup are separately placed above the fourth shooter.
Honor seems to skip releasing a triple-lens rear-facing cameras and opted for quad-camera instead. Consequently, the back design and camera setup of the Magic 2 seems too good to be true. The South Korean tech titan Samsung has recently unveil the Galaxy A9 (2018) as the world’s first phone with quad-lens camera setup on the back. So, it is more likely that Huawei is launching the Honor Magic 2 with four cameras.
Specs-wise, the Honor Magic 2 will allegedly feature an AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock. Additionally, the Magic 2 is rumored to ship with graphene-based battery and 40W fast charging technology.
