Kiefer Ravena’s supporters ad diehard fans are left waiting for an announcement from the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) after the promising rookie basketball player skipped the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) All-Star Game on Sunday evening and headed back to Manila.
Ravena, who traces his roots to this southern city of Iloilo, joined the All-Star celebration on Saturday and was loosened up enough to play golf with Visayas All-Stars head coach Nash Racela and Gilas team manager Butch Antonio at the age-old Santa Barbara layout in the morning of Sunday’s game.
However, the NLEX Road Warriors’ rookie basketballer never got to the San Agustin Gym for the showdown.
Few hours prior to the game, PBA commissioner Willie Marcial told the reporters that the former UAAP MVP has been instructed to fly back to Manila by SBP officials, who were scheduled to hold a press conference any time on Monday for an announcement presumably involving Ravena.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed the development but refused to provide further details other than a press conference is slated for Monday to clear out everything.
