LG has already posted a video teaser of the V40 ThinQ ahead of its official launch date on 3 October, but the South Korean tech giant could more surprises under wrap as a new report now hints that it might unveil a LG Watch W7 wearable smartwatch at the press conference.
The news came from the ever reliable leakster Evan Blass, who predominantly has a notoriously good track record when it comes to leaking smartphones. It is not the first time the smartwatch has been suggested to rumors and speculations, as earlier report dubbed it as “LG Watch Timepiece” back in April. In the report, it claimed that LG is working on a new wearable hardware, but had no enough evidences when it would be ready for primetime release.
Well, it looks like LG is finally quite ready to make the smartwatch official. The LG Watch W7 smartwatch allegedly has a hybrid design that incorporates the best of Wear OS with a mechanical wristwatch clock so that users could get both features.
Specifications-wise, the LG Watch W7 will reportedly feature a 1.2-inch 360 x 360 LCD circular display, an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. It will have a 240 mAh capacity battery and a mechanical watch hands with “highly precise quartz movement.”
Keep in mind that these are just based on rumors and speculations, and should be taken with a pinch of salt. What we can do for now is to wait and see if LG will unveil this Watch W7 along side the LG V40 ThinQ flagship smartphone at the October 3rd launch event.
