According to Nielsen Korea, the final televise of “Crash Landing on You” Episode 16 Finale garnered an average nationwide rating of 21.683 percent and a highest peak rating of 24.1 percent, shattering the prior record established by “Goblin” back in January 2017. Goblin season finale managed to set an apex rating of 20.5 percent.
TVN’s “Crash Landing on You” staged out “Goblin” and performed even better in the Seoul, where it totaled an average viewership rating of 23.249 percent for the episode 16 season finale.
The “Crash Landing on You” is one of the hit romantic-comedy series releases in late 2019. This Korean drama series revolves around the love story of two leading characters from South and North Korea. What happened is that Yoon Se-ri (Son Ye-jin), a South Korean heiress and elite socialite crash lands in North Korean soil.
In North Korea, Se-ri met Ri Jeong-hyuk (Hyun Bin), a dedicated North Korean army officer who relentlessly helps and protects her after she accidentally crash-lands in his nation. Jeong-hyuk promised Se-ri that he will ensure she returns safely to the South. While staying at a small military village in North Korea, the pair develops and fell in love for each other, despite the ongoing dispute between the two countries.
The final episode of Crash Landing on You sees Yoon Se-ri leave South Korea for a vacation in Switzerland where she was reunited with Ri Jeong-hyu.
