Apple’s forthcoming new iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max is highly awaited and it is confirmed to be launched on Wednesday, September 12, during the Cupertino-headquartered company’s annual product announcement event. But prior to the big launch here are all the latest leaks, rumors, retail price speculations and the possible release date of the 2018 iPhone devices.
Apple largely speculated by many to up the ante on three new 2018 iPhone lineups. One of them is widely believed to be a successor to the last year’s iPhone X that will retain the same 5.8-inch display that has become highly popular among the tech giant’s loyal consumers.
But the successor is reckoned to equip with a significant advancements on its internals with a new A12 Bionic system-on-chip processor in addition to beefing with an improved cameras. Apple is also been speculated to be prepping up the grandest launching of iPhone yet.
A 6.5-inch version dubbed as iPhone XS Max has been heavily debated in the past few weeks leading into CEO Tim Cook keynote at the Steve Jobs theater on September 12.
A report claimed that the this new handset will still boast an all-screen edge-to-edge bezel-less design but will noticeably comes with a much larger display than other iPhone siblings.
The guys at 9to5Mac, known for their credible reportage and leaks in the past years, released an alleged press images of the two premium flagship smartphones.
The new outlet dedicated to reporting all things Apple has insisted the images shown were not mockup renders, instead confirming it was official marketing items that had been leaked.
Two iPhones could be seen on the photo and one is notably much larger – both appeared in a new gold colorway.
The direct successor to the current flagship could be named “iPhone XS” while the larger model has been speculated to completely dump the “Plus” suffix branding and opted for the “iPhone Xs Max” instead.
Then the trillion-dollar US company has also been rumored to be introduce a new affordable handset that will mirror the same all-screen design of the iPhone X but will sacrifice some specific premium specs to keep the retail price much lower.
It has been indicated that the hardware will equip with an LCD screen instead of the much premium OLED display. And should the alleged prototype models of the handset revealed by Marques Brownlee are to be considered, the entry model among the lineup could also feature a single rear-facing camera only.
The budget device was also reported by publication Macotakara to be offered in a variety of color options: white, black, flash yellow, bright orange, electric blue and taupe colorways.
A Taiwan-based market intelligence firm, TrendForce, claimed late last month that the cheaper model among the three will feature a 3GB of RAM with 64GB or 256GB storage options.
But it added the iPhone XS will be shipped with 4GB worth of RAM and be available in 64-gigabyte, 256-gigabyte and 512-gigabyte ROMs. The larger iPhone XS Max also comes with 4GB RAM and will be purchased in 256GB and 512GB storage only.
Another report from German publication Macerkpof, that cited sources familiar with the Cupertino’s impeding retail price model, claimed that the budget handset could come in at €799.
Moreover, the report also added that the iPhone XS will start at €909 for the base model and the oversized flagahip will be offered for €1149.
These figures may surprise the US consumers but the European retail prices always include sales tax. It should be worth noted that these are the prices Apple asks in Germany for the last year’ lineup.
Therefore, this greatly hinted the Infinity Loop firm will hang on to its current US’ iPhone price points ($699, $799 and $999) for the three new models with the beefier storage capacities going as high as $150.
Despite Macerkpof insisted it cited reliable sources close to the matter and had been pretty precise regarding the costs of flagships in the past years, and such claims should be taken with a grain of salt.
