The OnePlus 6T launch is approaching despite the release date hasn’t been confirmed by the company. While we patiently wait for the smartphone manufacturer to announce the launch date, official press images of the OnePlus 6T have leaked online revealing new details.
The press images renders were first reported by Winfuture.de and the German publication posted the rear panel appearance of the OnePlus 6T which the fans have been wanting to see.
Looking on the image, the next-generation flagship will be shipping with dual-lens rear-mounted camera setup in contrast tot the early leaks claiming a triple-lens rear-facing cameras. As shown on the photo, the main camera shooter are vertically-aligned in the middle of the phone’s back panel.
A side-by-side comparison of the OnePlus 6’s and 6T’s rear appearances was also provided by the German site showing that there’s nothing much of a significant changes on the camera. What has change is the absence of the fingerprint sensor. OnePlus has confirmed that the 6T will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint sensor adopting the trend of the other Android smartphones released and will be launched this year.
Apart from the new leaked images, the specification of the OnePlus 6T have also emerged over the Internet. The phone will boast a 6.41-inch display with a 2340 x 1080 resolution at a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. A leaked packaging box already revealed the the device will have the same notched display design.
The OnePlus 6T will reportedly be launched on October 17. This release date was indicated from an screenshot shared by the company.
OnePlus also confirmed the departure of the 3.5mm audio jack to bring improvements in other key areas including battery life. So we expect the OnePlus 6T to come with a larger battery capacity.
The company also put up a banner on Amazon India teasing the launch of OnePlus 6T.
