Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL Launch Date
Earlier this month, Google threw out invites to the press and tech news outlets for its official Pixel 4 launch event, dated for October 15. That said, it corroborates with what the world has already anticipated provided that since the original Pixel debuted dating back in 2016, Google started selling its flagship smartphones in October.
The Pixel launch and release date pattern normally occurs like this: Google holds its annual I/O developer conference in May to introduce latest updates on its Android OS, other vital software products ans services. In October Google has another big event that will launch its hardware products and introduces a new smartphones, tablet, smart home speakers and more.

Face Unlock & Motion Sensors
There will be new additions and updated features that will be introduced on the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. There were speculations rumored back in the second quarter and confirmed by Google on July 29 that Face Unlock and Motion Sensors will be coming to new Pixels. Google posted a video teaser showing that the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL will equip with a Soli radar chipset. That said, the chip lets user face unlock the Pixel 4. The new Face Unlock biometric will be secure enough to authenticate digital payment process. The Soli radar can also sense motion movements, and allows user skip tracks, snooze alarms and silence phone calls by waving user’s hand in front of the Pixel 4 phones.
New Colorway To Choose From
Google also validated earlier leaks and ending speculations about a new color option for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Google confirms that the Pixel 4 or 4 XL will come in a new colorway of Sunrise shade, thanks to a massive billboard ad in Times Square New York. The advertisement, which is meant to up the hype for the October 15 launch event, shows the Pixel 4 phones in its new tint. This validates a prior unofficial press render on Weibo that manifested a dazzling orange Pixel 4 unit. In addition to the usual black and white color options, previous Pixel shades include blue, purple and pink colorways. The new orange color variant of the Pixel 4 and its oversized sibling will absolutely attracts attention from the swarm.
Availability: Pixel 4 coming to Sprint, Best Buy
Although the Pixel hasn’t officially announced just yet, retailers are getting advance of the competition. Minnesota-based consumer electronics retailer Best Buy has its own dedicated webpage just for the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL phones.

For the previous years, the Google Pixel flagships has been exclusive to only Verizon, even the Pixel phone is compatible with other major wireless carriers including Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile. But a leaked image of the Pixel 4 shows that it is running on Sprint. Despite the fact that Sprint is the United States’ fourth largest telecommunication company, it is due to merge with T-Mobile sooner.
Pixel 4, XL running Android 10 out of the box
As with previous iterations of Pixel handsets, the Pixel 4 range will be running Android’s latest mobile OS. Google OS moniker were alphabetical and named with your favorite dessert and the upcoming update was pro tem known as Android Q. Google changed that pattern and instead called it with Android 10 as its official name. The Android 10 it will reportedly have a system-wide dark mode, new permissions facets, better facial recognition and intensified security.
