These guests who have been handed out a wristband can purchase their desired item across the store but should return within a couple of hours after the doorbuster event kickoff time to receive their orders.
New this year, Walmart will no longer be handing out wristbands to the in-store shoppers in advance of Black Friday for highly sought after items like HDTVs, laptops, drones and iPads. Back in 2014, Walmart called its holiday tactic the “New Black Friday,” where the retailer hoped to trim back the number of customers queuing in line for “nothing.” However, that strategy was short-lived.
