Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Release Date, Prices- Mi Mix 3 now on sale in China, starting at 3,299 Yuan ($474)

Late last month Xiaomi officially launched the Mi Mix 3. It is the first flagship smartphone to sport with a magnetic slider design with nearly 100% screen-to-body ratio. Today, the Mi Mix 3 is now available through Xiaomi’s online store and Mi Home offline stores in Chinese market.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 comes in four models: the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM that costs 3,299 Yuan (~$474) while the 8GB RAM + 128GB ROM is priced at 3,599 Yuan (~$518). Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM version will set you back 3,999 Yuan (~$575). While the standard Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 comes in three colorways — Black, Emerald Green and Sapphire Blue — it appears that the smartphone is currently available in only Black color option. There’s a Mi Mix 3 Forbidden Palace special edition that features a whopping 10GB RAM and 256GB of on-board storage that 4,999 Yuan (~$719).

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 ships with a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels at 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio. The flagship smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and comes with 5G internet connectivity.

The Mi Mix 3 feature a magnetic modules hidden underneath the screen display that facilitates the sliding mechanism. By sliding up the display, it will launch different functionalities including opening the selfie camera, answering phone calls, among others.

As for the camera department, there’s a dual-lens rear-facing camera system with 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 main sensor with f/1.8 aperture and another 12-megapixel Samsung S5k3M3+ secondary shooter with f/2.4 aperture. The front-facing camera system comes with two sensors and an LED flash — a 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Additionally, the Mi Mix 3 comes with a dedicated physical button for Xiao AI voice assistant. The Xiao AI is currently available with Chinese language and dialects only. Xiaomi is working with Google to bring Google Assistant to the Mi Mix 3 global version. That said, the Mi Mix 3 international version’s dedicated physical button will launch the Google Assistant. The Mi Mix 3 also ships with Android 9 Pie mobile operating system topped with MIUI 10 skin out of the box.
