Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 slider display design starred in new teaser video

Xiaomi has posted a new teaser video clip for its impending flagship, Mi Mix 3, which features the smartphone’s new slider design. In the video clip, the Chinese technology company plays up how the manual slider mechanism of the Mi Mix 3 will work. When the user slides the Mi Mix 3’s front panel down it will turn on the display and reveal the dual front camera system and speaker grille.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will officially be launched on October 25 in Beijing, China. Recently, Xiaomi posted a number of posters online teasing the public that the Mi Mix 3 will be shipped with 5G internet connectivity support and 10GB RAM. That said, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will be the first ever commercial smartphone to hit the market with 10GB RAM.

Recent reports strongly indicates that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will ship with a Samsung QHD+ AMOLED screen display panel alongside a COP packaging technology. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 SoC will power the Mi Mix 3 coupled with Adreno 630 GPU. Like what’s revealed on the teaser video, the handset will also feature 20-megapixel front selfie snapper hidden on the slider display.

Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 was originally teased with an Oppo Find X-like sliding mechanism, but after further investigation, it could nearly sport 100% screen-to-body display. There’s also the possibility that the display is sliding and the back is stationary, depending on your point of view.

The Mi Mix 3 will reportedly hit the shelves with dedicated physical button that will launch the Xiao AI virtual assistant. The virtual assistant came pre-installed in the Mi Mix 2S, but this is the first time Xiaomi is equipping a hardware answer for its Xiao AI.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun earlier posted on Weibo that they are speeding up the mass production of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. Jun addressed a message to the production teams to get ready for a vast sales by October 2018.
