The Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 that we’ve seen so much earlier this year prior to the wrap-around display Mi Mix Alpha 5G concept phone snatched the limelight is in actually still in the development. There were earlier report that the successor to the Mi Mix 3 could eventual be announced anytime soon featuring Samsung’s 1/1.33-inch 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor with a bezel-less water-fall screen display, and now a fresh development from China corroborates its impending release.
The Chinese technology company has yet to reveal any information regarding the Mi Mix 4, however, the handset model has just emerged on the China-based e-commerce store JD.com. Different from a various of listing with press renders of upcoming smartphone, Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 listing on JD.com only has an image placeholder with a fine-drawn clue that the smartphone will be release later this month.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 as seen on the listing will come in two different models. There is one with 4G LTE connectivity, and another variant supports 5G connectivity. These two models will be equipped with Qualcomm’s latest system-on-chip processor – the Snapdragon 855+ SoC.
Other confirmed information remains to be seen. However, one of the planet’s popular leakster Ice Universe posted on Tweet hinted that the Mi Mix 4 will also be adopting the Mi Mix Alpha camera genes — the Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX 108MP camera system. However, there were on indications regarding the number of rear-facing camera sensors the Mi Mix 4 will have. Samsung’s ISOCELL Bright HMX is South Korean’s latest proprietary camera technology, and arguably the most advanced smartphone camera sensor to date. Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha already debuted with the aforementioned camera, and the Mi Mix 4 could well be Xiaomi’s second commercial smartphone to equip the sensor.
