Xiaomi’s sub-brand smartphone Redmi 9 will reportedly lands on June 25th. However, ahead of its release date, the smartphone has been listed on online e-commerce retailer Lazada Philippines site with its images, specs, feature and official pricing.
Redmi 9’s specs sheet listed on Lazada Philippines online store align well with prior rumors and speculations, meaning the device will indeed come up with a Helio G80 SoC under the hood and has a couple of memory options – 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. There’s also a microSD card slot for expanded storage.
The Redmi 9 is built around a 6.53-inch FullHD+ screen display that has a notch up top that houses the 8 -megapixel front-facing shooter. At the back panel of the handset phone, that has a textured finish and looks like a mixture of the Redmi K30 and Redmi Note 8 Pro’s rear panels, is home to a quad-lens camera system — a 13MP main camera, 8MP ultrawide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth sensor.
The Redmi 9 comes in three colorways and ships with a 5,020 mAh battery capacity which gains energy through a USB-C port at up to 18-Watts.
Other main features of the Redmi 9 include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, AI Face Unlock, IR Blaster, dual SIM cars slot support, and a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack.
The 3GB/32GB variant of the Redmi 9 is priced at PHP6,990 (around $140/€125 in today’s forex) and the 4GB/64GB up for grab PHP7,490 ($150/€135). As of writing, the 32GB model is available for purchase in Lazada Philippines 6.6 Bounce Back flash sale.
That’s surprising since Xiaomi Philippines hasn’t made any official statements regarding the Redmi 9.
Update: Hong Kong-based Xiaomi Mall, a LazMall seller in, is the one that sells Redmi 9 on Lazada Philippines.
