Last week Xiaomi gradually rolled out the first stable MIUI 10 ROM for the first batch of Mi smartphones in China. Now, the Beijing-headquartered Chinese electronics company is making the Android Pie beta ROM software upgrade to the Mi Mix 2S users who have switched to MIUI 10.
As the screenshots shows, the MIUI 10 8.9.7 beta version was made available on Friday, September 7. The beta program is solely meant for early adopters who are willing to live with bugs before it will commercially releases to the general public. According to the report, the there hasn’t significant change to the MIUI 10, but interacting with the smartphone has become buttery and quite smoother, and hitches with the camera app have been address with the new update.
With the Chinese ROM currently under development, the Global release version should be expected soon. Xiaomi’s MIUI 10 update will arrive to the tech firm’s 28 different devices (including Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer, Mi Mix 2S, Redmi 6 Pro, Mi Note 2 and Mi 6X), but only some of them will also eligible to receive the Android 9.0 Pie OS update features including Digital Wellbeing, Adaptive Battery, improved notification panels and machine learning.
